Its that time again! Time for another Mystery Swap!
What is the mystery? This is not a secret swap, so to make it interesting we are going to keep you guessing as to the theme of your package. You will give your partner a few ideas as to the things you like (i.e., a color, chocolate, puppies, tea , you get the idea) and they will pick one and build your package around this theme.
For example:
Ideas: green tea , New Orleans, alpaca, chocolate.
Your partner may then pick New Orleans as your theme and select a pattern & yarn to fit, such as the French Market bag, and maybe throw in a few goodies that correspond to the theme (Cafe du Monde coffee , Mardi Gras beads, etc.).
Your ideas don’t have to be fancy, let your partner do all the work making a simple theme exciting.
The will be 2 drawings for PRIZES. Information on the drawings will be discussed once the swap is under way.
This swap is open to international participants who knit and/or crochet! You must either have a personal blog or be a member of Ravelry to participate.
Rules: Please read carefully, these will be strictly enforced!
The swap will run from April 1, 2009 to May 15, 2009. All packages must be mailed by May 15, 2009!
Your package must contain everything needed for a small project (yarn, needles/hooks & pattern). Free patterns are o.k., just make sure you make up for it by including extra nice yarn or goodies.
The contents of the package must cost $40US min.-$50US max. This total is pre-shipping. If you can not afford this, please do not register. This is not an opportunity to clear out your stash! You are expected to purchase new items for your partner. If you have something in your stash that is in new condition and will genuinely be perfect for the package that is ok.
For domestic packages please figure at least $10 for shipping. International shipping will be significantly higher and will vary by country. If you are shipping domestically, you must also include insurance or delivery confirmation on your package.
Email contact with your partner is required! There will be deadlines given for contact, those who do not meet the deadlines will be eliminated from the exchange and their partner will be reassigned.
If you think you may not be able to comply with the rules, or believe you may have a problem with getting your package out on time, please do not sign up. There are plenty of swaps out there. We want this to be a pleasant experience for all!
If you have been banned from a swap previously, please don’t submit a questionnaire. I will be checking participants against banned lists from other swaps.
If you sign up and are unable to complete the swap, please email me ASAP so that your partner can be reassigned.
Still interested? Fill out this questionnaire and email it to me at phro5gg@aol.com. Sign-ups end March 31, 2009. I will send out your partner info on April 1 – I know, I’m a fool!

A box of “Costa Rica” arrived today!
I received a WONDERFUL package from Lani today! It was filled with lots of great goodies, I believe my theme was Costa Rica…. Just look at all the colorful tissue paper, just opening the box & seeing all those bright colors made me happy! Of course it looked much prettier than it does in the photo, this is the “after” shot.
Well, there were tons of great stuff in there! Here is a list: Costa Rican Coffee beans (OMG do these smell wonderful, even sealed!), Yummy Chocolate, Gummy Bears, 2 patterns (that I had in my Ravelry Que!), Designer Tissues (how appropriate at the moment, with all the nose blowing going on here), a Row Counter, Needle Sizer, Chibi Needle, Bamboo Knitting Needles, a really pretty Flower Pen, a Journal with tropical flowers on it (I’ve so wanted one of these for my projects! How did she know?), Tropical Flower Sticky Notes, 2 skeins of Panda Cotton for my sock pattern (in pretty tropical peach, salmon & green), & 2 skeins of Cascade 220 Superwash wool (a pretty bright blue) for my bag pattern!
Thanks so much Lani! You ROCK!!! What an awesome swap partner! I have really enjoyed this swap, I’ll be watching for the next one too.
I have posted even more photos on my blog if anyone wants to check them out…. www.yarndemonadventures.blogspot.com

Irish Eyes (well, Texan Eyes) are smiling
Our super-duper hostess, Kim, chose Ireland as her mystery theme. Is this not the coolest package ever?
A pattern for an Irish Hiking scarf, yummy yarn in such a beautiful color, needles to start and cable, chocolate, Irish breakfast tea, an Irish blessing, and the best mug in the world.
Thanks again, Kim for a wonderful package and hosting this! I can’t wait for the next one.
PS. Apparently, I’m a knucklehead because I can’t get the photo to load so please head over to www.hissyknit.blogspot.com to drool over the package.

Thank you, Yarndemon (Anita)!
Anita send me the most fabulous tea-themed package … gorgeous yarn along with the patterns and needles (!!) for not one but two projects; a candle, soap, body lotion, two packages of tea, a sheepy tape measure, a note pad, and she even thoughtfully included treats for my menagerie. What a great package from a fabulous partner. Thank you again, Anita — I’d enjoyed our chats from the start of the swap, and this package just confirms your status as an Officially Fabulous Swap Partner.

My ewesome package!
I received my package a long time ago but I am new to blogging and have just gotten around to figuring out how to post photos, etc. As you can see, my partner spoiled me with beautiful bright colored yarn and a pattern to make felted fish. I can’t wait to make them. I wanted to have one done when I posted photos but I am not getting to it very quickly so I thought I had better get the package photos up at least. Enjoy…I sure did in receiving it!
